Energy responds to the Future for All report from Citizens Advice
Responding to the new report, Future for All, from Citizens Advice Energy UK's chief executive, Lawrence Slade, said:
“The future energy system will be very different from the one we have known and new technology, products and services have the potential to bring widespread benefits to all customers. But as we stressed throughout our recent Future of Energy report, we need to ensure this is a transition which leaves no customers behind, is funded fairly and where regulation keeps pace with the speed of change.
“That means meeting the needs and preferences of all types of customers including adequate access, protection and support for those who are less able to engage in the market. That’s why the industry is also taking forward the recommendations from the Commission for Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances for an industry-wide Code of Conduct and looking at the additional support required for those most in need - both now and in the future.”
