Energy UK publishes letter on CMA provisional findings
Energy UK has submitted its response to the CMA following its provisional findings and potential remedies early in July. The letter highlights competition as a primary driver, customer engagement, smart meters, regulation, transparency and codes governance.
Lawrence Slade, chief executive of Energy UK said:
“Energy UK and its members strongly believe openness, transparency and competition are vital in ensuring the best outcome for customers, supported by a strong independent regulator. We support the Competition Market Authority’s moves towards greater innovation in the retail market, which ultimately, will benefit consumers through more choice.”
